As many of you may know, I enjoy a trip to the seaside for a pre-wedding shoot – Saltburn being one of my favourite places.  Nic and Dave had to walk to the end of the road as they live in Saltburn – brilliant!  I’m looking forward to their wedding next month at the beautiful Gisborough Hall in North Yorkshire – I played there back in my Fantastic Shirts days (my band) but this will be my first time as a photographer, which is great – as much as I like working at familiar places, a new venue really helps the creative juices flow.  We’re also planning a wedding day trip onto the beach which, weather permitting, should mean some stunning shots.

It finally arrived – Clare and Adam’s big day, and what a day it was!  The sun was shining (well, for most of the day), there was a light breeze and all of their friends and family were with them at Headlam Hall to celebrate their wedding day.

Adam was really pleased with his Caroline Shotton cute cow cufflinks.  Flowers and table decorations were by the lovely Gillian Nicholls.

Although mentioned the gorgeous weather, the rain did set in by the end of the day, but that provided an opportunity for Andrew and Sarah from Headlam to join in as my assistants (Andrew took the fantastic shot of me with Clare and Adam!)

Most of my pre-wedding shoots are by the sea.  As well as being great for photographs, it’s just a really nice place to be (and good for the soul).  Clare and Adam wanted to go to a beach that’s special to them, which took us to Seaham.

We had a great laugh and got some fantastic images (some of our favourites are below).

On Saturday the big day finally arrived – Fiona and Chris got hitched!

We had a fantastic day (although let’s not talk about the weather!).  Fiona looked stunning in her two piece Maria Karin wedding gown, Chris scrubbed up rather well even if he and the boys had quite a challenge with their cravats!

The service at St Peter’s church, Bishopton.  Rev’d Maggie led a really lovely service.

Back at the farm the champagne flowed and great time was had by all.  After the speeches we were able to get outside for some family formals.  Did anyone get a picture of me on the JCB?

The entertainment was provided by my new favourite band – Emerald Thieves.  A fantastic mix of Celtic Rock and Party Music.
