30 Nov 2009Ruth and Stephen’s Wedding Day

It’s arrived!!  Ruth and Stephen’s wedding day has finally arrived!

The boys took a while to get fully equipped in their kilts – and debating which side their Sgian Dubh should be.  (If you have no idea what a Sgian Dubh is, check out this Wiki article.)

Ruth’s bridesmaids were dressed in a stunning green – with gorgeous handbags – one handbag in particular had to feature in the pictures.  You can ask Margaret (one of the bridesmaids) about it!

Ruth looked stunning traveling to the church in a lovely vintage Jaguar.  My dear friend Rev Paul conducted the service, with Jon Burns of the Vineyard Church in Yarm giving a brilliant address.

The rain set in as we travelled up to Headlam Hall, but that didn’t dampen our spirits at all (although it did stop us going outside for pictures).  The evening ended with a brilliant Ceilidh from the Trimdon Folk Band.

Enjoy some of my favourites below, or take a look at the Album Design.  You can find all of the images in the Viewing Lounge.

30 Jun 2009Ruth and Stephen’s Pre-wedding Shoot

Those of you who have had a pre-wedding shoot know that I LOVE to go to the beach, but Ruth and Stephen wanted something a little closer to Ruth’s family home – Middleton One Row, which is about 5 mins from my house.  Middleton One Row is a gorgeous little village that looks out over the River Tees and at this time of year it’s very green and very pretty.

Ruth and Stephen were (as many of my couples are), pretty anxious about the session.  Ruth in particular isn’t a fan of her picture being taken.  I’m pleased to report that the session was a success – in that Ruth relaxed and now the photography holds no fears for her on wedding day – we’re off to the lovely Headlam Hall in November.

Here are some of my favourites from the session.  You’ll find the rest in the Viewing Lounge.
