14 May 2010Joanne and Richard’s Draft Album Design

It’s ready – the whole story of the wedding day in photographs.  (There’s also a link on Jo and Richard’s special wedding page and on my Facebook Page).

My style of wedding photography isn’t about taking one picture and then another picture…….I tell a story – Jo and Richard are the story makers, I’m the story teller and Queensberry are the story tailors – they take these gorgeous images and bind them into a stunning handmade album (but more on that in a later post).

I’ve put a few of the spreads below, but they are much better full screen with some music playing.

Let me know what you think.

6 May 2010Jo and Richard – 1st May 2010

My wedding season has begun!  What a great way to start the season photographing Jo and Richard at the amazing Crathorne Hall.

Richard did a great job of teaching all of his groomsmen how to tie a full windsor knot in their ties, in fact I think he ended up tying 7 or 8 himself!

Jo looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress – she had everyone’s head turning and her gorgeous Jimmy Choo shoes set her look off beautifully.

I hope you enjoy looking at this selection of my favourite images from the day.  The whole collection will be in the Viewing Lounge in a week or so.  Pick up Jo and Richard’s story at www.joandrichard.markmiller.co.uk

BTW – that is me in the last picture, although I have no idea who the girl on the right is!! :)

8 Apr 2010Jo and Richard’s Pre-Wedding session

It’s official, the 2010 wedding season has begun!!  Back in late February Jo, Richard and I met up for a great pre-wedding session at Saltburn Beach.  Jo is a great example of my typical client – gorgeous, but hates having their picture taken (usually because they don’t think they look good in pictures).  This is the amazing power of the Pre-Wedding Shoot.  It gets rid of all these fears and anxieties.

Jo and Richard loved their pictures, the scene is now set for a fantastic wedding day in a few weeks.  We’re off to St Joseph’s church in Norton and then to my favourite wedding venue – Crathorne Hall Hotel.

Jo and Richard’s special page is here (where you can find links to all of the pictures) but in the meantime, here are a selection of the our favourite images from the session.

11 Jan 2010Helen and Peter’s Fairytale New Year’s Eve Wedding

As fairytale weddings go, Helen and Peter’s special day at Crathorne Hall couldn’t have been better.  We had snow on the ground, all of their friends and family had traveled from near and far, Christmas Trees were everywhere and, perhaps most importantly, everyone was looking forward to this wedding.  And when I say ‘everyone’ I mean all of the suppliers and staff working behind the scenes.  Helen and Peter and their families have been the loveliest people to deal with, making what is going to be a great event that much better.
So, the day began at Crathorne with Susie Hart setting up the tables and flowers some amazing candelabras, and Wendy from XXXXXX putting the chair covers out. The room had a Winter Wonderland feel – gorgeous!
Peter’s family and friends had flown over from Ireland and were in great spirits.  The boys were very punctual and were ready in time for the briefing from Helen’s dad!
Helen looking stunning in her Sharron Bowen wedding gown and those lovely Benjamin Adams shoes.  My favourite moment at all my weddings is when Dad sees his little girl in her wedding dress and this wedding was no exception.  We were all in tears!!!
A light dusting of snow gave Crathorne Church a lovely accent (plus someone had nicely scrapped all the frozen snow and ice away!) Rev Pam led a relaxed and friendly service, full of great songs, sensitive prayers and of course a perfect sermon based on ‘Oh Christmas Tree!’
I have to apologise to all of the guests who arrived back at Crathorne early and had to stand outside waiting for all of the other guests so that we could take the ‘Big Group Shot’ – trust me it was worth it (says the man who was inside for the whole time!)
Chef produced a wonderful lamb dish that everyone loved.  Then, after the speeches, Funky Butt entertained everyone through to the wee small hours.
Enjoy some of my favourite images from the day below, or better still look at the Draft Album Design. You can find all of the images from the day in the Viewing Lounge.
