2 Jun 2010Fiona and Chris’ Big Day

On Saturday the big day finally arrived – Fiona and Chris got hitched!

We had a fantastic day (although let’s not talk about the weather!).  Fiona looked stunning in her two piece Maria Karin wedding gown, Chris scrubbed up rather well even if he and the boys had quite a challenge with their cravats!

The service at St Peter’s church, Bishopton.  Rev’d Maggie led a really lovely service.

Back at the farm the champagne flowed and great time was had by all.  After the speeches we were able to get outside for some family formals.  Did anyone get a picture of me on the JCB?

The entertainment was provided by my new favourite band – Emerald Thieves.  A fantastic mix of Celtic Rock and Party Music.

I hope you enjoy some of my favourite images from the day.  Let me know what you think in the comments section. The draft album will be online later this week, with the rest of the wedding images appearing online next week.  You can find links to all of the pictures on Fiona and Chris’ special Wedding Webpage, and on my Facebook page.

UPDATE: The Draft Album is now online.  Take a look here.

21 May 2010Fiona and Chris’ Pre-Wedding Shoot

I love Pre-Wedding shoots – they are a great time for me to get to know my clients and for my clients to get used to me (I mean the picture taking rather than my personality traits!).  I also try to capture something unique in my images – for Fiona and Chris that was so easy.  The shoot took place on their farm –  filled with sheep, horses, dogs and of course pigs!

This fantastic couple are getting hitched at the end of the month (in fact they came to me because my great friends Stan and Jane from Visual Photography were booked and they recommended me – thanks guys) at Bishopton Church then back to the farm for the reception.

Here are some of my favourites from the session.  You can also find these images over on my Facebook Page.  Why not make friends with me?

I’ll be posting details of Fiona and Chris’ images on their special wedding page: www.fionaandchris.markmiller.co.uk

Let me know what you think of the pictures in the comments section below, or in the Facebook comments.

23 May 2009Claire and Chris’ Wedding Day

Claire and Chris’ pre-wedding shoot was only a couple of weeks ago (and it rained!).  I’m pleased to say there wasn’t a drop of rain for their wedding day – the sun was gorgeous.

The boys started the day with a quick snifter of Brandy (but it didn’t distract them from their important duties Claire!) and Dave (the best man) had some trouble with his tie.  Thankfully Dad (Matthew, Chris’ Brother-in-law) knew what to do.

Sandra Rose supplied beautiful bouquets for the day and Penny from Pink Treacle was hard at work arranging the place settings in the Marquee when I arrived – they looked great Penny!

Claire looked amazing in her gorgeous wedding dress and Benjamin Adams shoes.  Note to self:  Check who made the wedding dress, it’ll make these posts much more informative.

The ceremony was held at St Nicholas’ church in Guisborough and then we were off into The Priory (no, not the rehabilitation centre!) for some portraits afterwards.

Back at the Marquee, Paul Lytton, the fantastic magician, entertained the guests before dinner.

As great as the speeches were, Nicola (Chris’ sister and one of the Brides Maids) was given a present that stole the show ‘Chunk’ (you’ll spot Chunk in the pictures below).

The legendary Jump The Q finished the night off with some fantastic music.

You can see all of Claire and Chris’ wedding day in the Album Design, or if you have the password, view the pictures in The Viewing Lounge.

And, now I’m off on holiday for a week in Woolacombe.  Bring on the surf!

10 May 2009Claire and Matthew’s Pre-wedding shoot

We had sunshine!!  For the first time this year, I had a pre-wedding shoot in the sun and it was indeed gorgeous.  Claire isn’t a fan of having her picture taken (like lots of my clients) but I’m pretty sure I put her at ease – the pictures certainly don’t look like she was nervous.  Gorgeous – yes, but not nervous!

Claire and Matthew are getting married at my local church later this year (and yes, I’ll be 40 when I shoot it!) then back to Matthew’s parents house for the reception.  I’ve known Matthew’s family for quite a while, but the last time I was in their garden for his mum’s birthday party about 15 years ago!

Enjoy a few of their favourites below.  There’s a few more images in this slideshow.  All of the images are in the Viewing Lounge.
