I’ve just got back from the best Wedding Fayre I’ve been to in a long time. Bernie and her team from Diamond Events put on a spectacular wedding fayre – great exhibitors, great guests (and loads of them!).
My stand was nestled snuggly between Penny from Pink Treacle (fabulous wedding stationary) and Vicki and Rachel from the wedding team at Crathorne Hall. I’d like to say I had a great time chatting with them all afternoon, but there were so many guests that I never had the chance. I only managed one cup of coffee (thanks to Penny’s mum for watching my stand for a few minutes!)
If you came by the stand and talked to me – thanks very much it was great to meet you.
If you came by the stand and couldn’t talk to me because I was talking to someone else – I’m sorry, I hope you picked up a brochure pack.
Either way, if you think I might be the right photographer for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me – I’d love to hear all about your wedding plans.
By the way – if you haven’t yet decided on your Wedding Venue and you liked the look of Crathorne Hall, they have a Wedding Showcase this Thursday the 21st January 2010. The hotel will be set up for a wedding so you can see it in all of it’s glory. Get in touch with Rachel or Vicki if you’d like more information.
It’s been a couple of years since the fabulous Crathorne Hall have held a wedding fayre but on the 17th January 2010, thanks to Bernie of Diamond Events, they’re back!
If you’ve never been to Crathorne Hall then I urge you to come along, it is the most amazing venue, full of character with gorgeous food and very friendly hospitality. I’m very fortunate to shoot lots of weddings at Crathorne – you can see some of them by clicking on this link.
If you’d like to see some of the best wedding suppliers in the area, or just take a look at the amazing venue, then do come along – make sure you come and say ‘Hello!’ to me.
This week will mark the end of something that began when I was very small. I remember breakfast as a child listening to the radio (breakfast TV hadn’t been invented then) and who was on the radio? Why Terry Wogan of course. Terry leaves the breakfast show on Friday after nearly 100 years as its presenter. He’s being replaced by the fantastic Chris Evans who I’m sure will deliver a great show, but somehow it wont quite be the same.
Here’s a little video prepared by some of Terry’s peers:
These were the words that a bride said to my Brother in Law (the manager of a small country house hotel) last Saturday.
There were 3 photographers following the bride around until eventually, in the middle of the afternoon, she’d had enough and out came the above statement.
What does this incident tell us?
If you are a photographer, it is so important to form a fantastic relationship with your clients BEFORE the wedding day. You should have the view that you’re invited to a friend’s wedding – and upsetting your friends on their wedding day is a No-No!
If you are a Bride (or a Groom) select your photographer very carefully – they are going to be with you ALL day – make sure their personality fits yours – ask yourself “could I be friends with this person?” If you’d like some further advice about choosing the right wedding photographer for you, then do get in touch with me.
