Mark Miller photoblog

I'm over 30 but under 40. I have been blessed with Beth, my wonderful wife and my best friend and together we created 3 gorgeous children; Josh, our little boy and Mollie and Ellie, our twin girls. I have a size 8 shoe and less hair than I used to (due in part to having three small children).

My wedding day, and the birth days of my children were the best days of my life. And I consider it a privilege to document other people's lives, either at the start of their life together on their wedding day, or as their lives develop with their own children.

My clients come to me because they want photographs. By the time we've finished I hope I've given them so much more. Friendship.

10 Jul 2010Clare and Adam – the big day!

It finally arrived – Clare and Adam’s big day, and what a day it was!  The sun was shining (well, for most of the day), there was a light breeze and all of their friends and family were with them at Headlam Hall to celebrate their wedding day.

Adam was really pleased with his Caroline Shotton cute cow cufflinks.  Flowers and table decorations were by the lovely Gillian Nicholls.

Although mentioned the gorgeous weather, the rain did set in by the end of the day, but that provided an opportunity for Andrew and Sarah from Headlam to join in as my assistants (Andrew took the fantastic shot of me with Clare and Adam!)

Enjoy some of my favourites below, or take a look the fun on Facebook (like me?), or head on over to their special wedding page: www.clareandadam.markmiller.co.uk for links to all of the images, including the amazing, Draft Album Design (definitely the best place to see the whole wedding day story).

24 Jun 2010Jeni and Paul’s Pre-wedding shoot

When it comes to pre-wedding shoots, I rarely (if ever) cancel them because of the weather although I did wonder if I should have done that a couple of weeks ago whilst waiting for Jeni and Paul to arrive for their shoot.  The  clouds were rolling in (I’d driven through a huge cloud burst that I knew was coming our way!).

I’m glad to say that we didn’t and we had a great (if a little wet) time.  Here are a few of my favourites from the session.  You can find links to all of their images on their special webpage: www.jeniandpaul.markmiller.co.uk or head on over to Facebook and join in the conversation.

Why not leave a comment to let me know what you think of the pictures.

BTW – The last image is not be shooting them!  They were re-enacting a scene from Borat!

15 Jun 2010Mary and Will’s Pre-wedding photo shoot

Summer is here so I took Mary and Will off to the beach to make sandcastles, paddle and take their picture.  Well, actually we didn’t do the sandcastle/paddle thing, but I did take their picture!  We had a lovely time in the very hot sunshine.  Regular readers of my blog will know that I often use the beech for pre-wedding shoots, there’s great light, gorgeous scenery and it’s generally good for the soul.

Mary and Will get married at the end of July in St Hildeburgh’s Church, Hoylake, then we’re off to The Craxton Wood Hotel.

Here are a few of our favourites from the session – let me know what you think in the comments section, or join in the conversation on Facebook (make friends with me!)  Better still, bookmark Mary and Will’s special wedding webpage: www.maryandwill.markmiller.co.uk for links to all of their wedding images and a gorgeous slideshow.
